Press the hotkey. If it doesn't, read here for help. Remember that you cannot use this hotkey while configuring. If the configuration window is open, close it! |

Enter some letters of the program you wish to start. You may enter any of the letters you want as long as they're in the right order. Let's say you want to start "Adobe Photoshop". You might for example try "AP", "Adobe", "PS", "Photo", "APhoto", "AdobeP", "APS", "aDoBe PhOTosHop". What you may NOT enter is "Photoshop Adobe", "PA", "shopphoto", "PSA" - the letters must be in the right order! |

You'll notice immediately that EboBar will offer you some files or applications to open, the top entry being highlighted. Press RETURN if the highlighted entry suits you, and off you go! If you're not happy, you may select another entry using the cursor keys, or, if there's still too many entries, just enter more letters. So if "AP" offers you 10 entries you don't want, continue with "APh", then "APho" to "APhoto". At one point, Photoshop MUST turn up, or you just haven't installed it! 4 EboBar learns. It keeps track of the entries you use the most and puts them up in the list. So if you had to enter "APhoto" the first time, you might get away with "AP" the next time - or even "A". |

5 That's the core of it! This is what EboBar is all about! There's of course lots of things to customize, so read on. |
What files and applications does EboBar cover?
By default, EboBar scans your "My Documents" folder, your "Favorites" folder and your Start menu. This should cover most of the files you wish to access quickly. You can of course add additional folders, like that directory containing your huge array of MP3 files.
